Father in Heaven, through Your Son, You have taught us the true meaning of love when Jesus chose to die for us all even while we were sinners. Your Word commands us to love our enemies and do good to those who hate us. Allow Your Holy Spirit to empower us because it is only through His power and Your grace that we are able to love and pray for those who would persecute us. Help us Father to be obedient to Your command, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, for if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?"
