Precious Jesus, it is in You that we find the oil of joy, it is to You we give our spirit of heaviness, it is You we praise, it is You we want to glorify. We give you our hearts, the very depths of our soul, the valleys and the dry deserts and we ask You to give us beauty for ashes that Your name may be exalted in all the earth. Amen.
"To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
