Dear God, thank You for the privilege of being able to commune with You through prayer. Thank You for speaking to me through Your Word and teaching me through life's circumstances. Thank You for the beautiful birds that sing such lovely songs, for the sun that shines, for the rain that cools and replenishes the thirsty earth and provides water for us to drink. I pray for those in lands where there is famine or flood, that You would balance the weather and provide for their needs. Please reveal Your power, Your love, Your presence to them in a mighty way that they would know that You are God and that You love and care about them. I thank You most of all for the great gift of sending Your Son. This I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Good and gracious Father, we thank You that the appointed time has come and that the greatest gift that You could confer upon us unworthy sinners has been bestowed. Your love for us knows no bounds, and we in turn can only marvel at such unbounded generosity. May we live our lives in such a manner that will be pleasing to You especially in the way in which we will show love to one another. We make our prayer in the name of the Babe of Bethlehem. Amen.

Dear Lord, as I begin preparing to once again celebrate the humbling yet life-changing event of Your birth, help me to find time to meditate on the mystery of this great event. Lord, whatever pain, disappointment or fear I am experiencing help me, like Your mother, Mary, to say Yes... Yes to celebration, Yes to sorrow, Yes to today, Yes to tomorrow, Yes to You O Lord and all You send, Yes Lord, Yes Thy Will be done, Amen.

Merciful Father, free us from our sins and make us whole. Hear our prayer as we prepare to celebrate the incarnation of Your Son, who comes to us as the Babe of Bethlehem but who will be for us our Emmanuel. We thank You Father for Your unconditional love. O God, You are my God. During this Thanksgiving season we do want to recount all of Your wonderful deeds. First and foremost we give You thanks for the Cross upon which our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and the stripes He bore for our transgressions Each day of life is a gift from You and we give You thanks, for every breath we take has been ordered by You. For the beauty of the firmament around us, for the sunshine and the rain, for the ocean waves and for the quiet breezes, we give You thanks. Thank You for the love You shower on us each day and may we take this opportunity to pour out that love to our family, our friends and our neighbors. Almighty, most holy God, we come to Your mercy seat to present ourselves as living sacrifices that we may be acceptable unto You, our God. We acknowledge that You are Jehovah and You are the ultimate healer of every sickness or disease that may inflict our bodies. You made the blind to see and the deaf to hear and there is no sickness You can’t heal. Receive the glory Lord Jesus, from every healing that takes place, every cancer that has gone into remission, every heart that continues to pump, every hungry child that You have fed, for the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. Lord, I believe You are using circumstances and events to move me into a place of patient waiting. Help my soul to mature, my faith to grow, my life to be more pure and dedicated to You. Lord, I praise You in the midst of it all…my special trials and daily challenges…knowing that I must learn to be patient and content as I wait upon You. Lord, help me to focus totally on You. It is only in You that my heart will find rest. It is Your peace and love my Lord, that displaces fears and worries. Lord, I am so thankful for Your great unchanging love for me. Because of Your love, You have forgiven all my sins, and welcomed me into Your family with open arms. Heavenly Father, You are my Maker, and in Christ Jesus You have remade me in Your image by Your grace. Heavenly Father, thank You for helping me to see the error of my ways, to know that the new day brings new mercy so I can forgive myself of my past indiscretions. My God, You are so amazing. Thank You for helping me out of the depths of depression one more time. I cling to You, and You are so faithful to give Your mighty right hand for me to hold onto. Lord Jesus give us grace that we will do the works that You did when you walked this earth. We are your body here and now. By Your grace we will act boldly so that in Your name we will feed not just 5,000 but millions of children, women and men. In Your name we will house those living in squalor. In Your name we will heal the sick through clinics and medical missions. As You raised the son of a widow in Nain, we will reduce infant mortality of the poor. In Your name we will release prisoners in the countries we serve. Holy Spirit grant us a bold faith so that we can do more than we can ask for or imagine in Jesus’ Holy Name we pray.

Oh, Lord our God, thank You for pouring out Your Spirit over our country that we may worship and adore You freely, that we may honor You publicly and share of Your wonders openly. We thank You and glorify You for the freedoms You have entrusted to us. Each freedom has come with a price, a price Your Son paid once and for all. We ask You to forgive us our sins; empty us of such effects. Once again, pour Your Spirit of boldness into our beings that we may win over the souls of those in our states and cities for Your glory. Thank You, Father, that Your will be done in my life, that You graciously forgive my trespasses as I surrender forgiveness to others, that You provide for my substance day after day. Thank You for guiding my foot along Your path while delivering my soul out of the way of temptation. Lord,
Guide my every step. O Father, what a wonderful reminder and blessing to know that all that we do for the poor is a constant memorial before You. As we celebrate Memorial Day, may we be thankful and appreciative of all those who have given so much, even their very lives for this great country and in service of others. I ask Father for Your Almighty protection for all of our service people and indeed for all of us.
Lord, I am comforted by Your word which tells us that a sparrow does not fall from the sky without Your notice and that we are in Your perfect care. Father, I pray for safety for all the many celebrations across America and that You may be glorified through them. This I pray in Jesus’ precious name.

Lord, You alone are not only the source of everything we need...You are the source of everything. Oh Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us everything that we need each day. At the same time we ask you to meet the needs of those who are lacking materially and spiritually. Heavenly Father, I believe in You. Help me when I doubt. Grant me the ability to rely on You rather than myself. Open my eyes and heart, so I may appreciate the peace You have already given me. Lord Jesus, thank you for willingly choosing to suffer the physical pain of the cross, and the emotional and spiritual pain of having Your loving Father turn away from You as You took our sin onto yourself and paid for our salvation. The song writer wrote… I serve a living savior Christ Jesus is His name… What a reason to rejoice. I thank You Lord for rising from the dead to show that You have the ultimate power over death and sin. And to the glory of God, one day sin and death will also be defeated in my life. By Your resurrection You immediately gave hope to every single person in the world. And all this because of Your love for us and Your desire to reconcile us to Your loving Father. Lord, Thank You, thank You, thank You, in Jesus’ name I pray.

Lord Jesus, how do I even begin to thank You for choosing to lay Your life down for me? I don’t know that I can ever truly understand or appreciate the type of love that would motivate this type of action. Lord as I consider Your Passion this Easter season; as I consider the pain of the cross, may it help me to understand the purpose of the cross and that it would cause me to draw closer to You and to love people more. Lord, thank You for loving me enough to die such a horrible death for and because of me. This I pray in Your precious name.

We can donate to a food pantry, give needed clothing, help an elderly neighbor, or extend a hand of comfort to someone in distress. Jesus is our role model. Father, guide us into places where we can be a humble servant to others. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus.

It is good, our loving Father, for us to be here! We praise and worship you for giving us the light of another day in which to imitate Your Son, Jesus, who gives Himself through us, to all in need. Fill us with the light of Your glory now and in the days ahead because through You we can do all things.

Feb. 24 - March 2, 2013

Father God, I thank You for renewing a right spirit within me. Thank You Lord for renewing the plans You have for this year for me. I know that You will keep Your promises and bring me into a closer relationship with Your Son Jesus. I thank you that You will preserve me in difficult situations and cause me to endure as I wait on my miracle. My heart is clean and my faith is in You in every promise, everyday. Amen.

Week of Feb. 17- 23, 2013

Heavenly Father, we come asking the blessing of wisdom for our elected officials across the nation. Thank You for giving each an extra measure of enlightenment to govern. May they be strengthened by Your teachings in the Holy Scriptures to better fulfill their duties. May these teachings enlighten their decisions. May they put aside personal ambitions and speak truth in all situations. May God direct their thoughts and behaviors as they strive to govern for the betterment of all the people. We pray for our elected leaders to be your dutiful servants, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Merciful Father, protect us in our struggles; grant us your divine mercy as we make our journey through another Lenten season. Make this for us a holy season marked by our self denial and our outpouring of love for each other, especially to those who are poor and deprived. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Father God, I ask that You help me to believe that You answer my prayers.  You know what I need and have provided for my needs.  Now all I have to do is believe.  I believe that it is Your Will to bless me, I believe that I have already received it and I believe that my prayer is done. Amen!

Week of Jan. 6 - 12, 2013

Dear Father, in this new year please help us increase our faith by spending time with You in prayer. By praying and reading your Holy Word we have assurance that in spite of what happens around us and in our difficult situations, You will take care of us. You will help us and keep us because we as your children are far more important to you than the grass of the field. So, thank you Lord for your love and tender care for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
