O Father, what a wonderful reminder and blessing to
know that all that we do for the poor is a constant memorial before You.
As we celebrate Memorial Day, may we be thankful and appreciative of
all those who have given so much, even their very lives for this great
country and in service of others. I ask Father for Your Almighty
protection for all of our service people and indeed for all of us.
Lord, I am comforted by Your word which tells us that a sparrow does
not fall from the sky without Your notice and that we are in Your
perfect care. Father, I pray for safety for all the many celebrations
across America and that You may be glorified through them. This I pray
in Jesus’ precious name.
Amen
Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered,
“Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God."
