June 23 - 29, 2013

Thank You, Father, that Your will be done in my life, that You graciously forgive my trespasses as I surrender forgiveness to others, that You provide for my substance day after day. Thank You for guiding my foot along Your path while delivering my soul out of the way of temptation. I know You know all, oh most Glorious Father, although all too often I cry out that you bless me daily. Today Lord God, humbly I ask, let me be a blessing to You through my service to others, in Jesus’ name we pray.

Amen

“It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear."

June 16 - 22, 2013

Heavenly Father, Bless the men we look to for fatherly instructions.
Strengthen them to be Christ-like in their care to us. May their examples as faith filled men motivate those looking up to them for advice, guidance, direction, and loving behaviors to do likewise. Thank you for keeping these men in your hedge of protection encouraging them to give their all in whatever task that needs completion. Help them to be prudent in their distribution of goods at home, in the community and to the church.
May we always honor and respect our fathers as we honor and respect You our Heavenly Father. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Amen

June 9 - 15, 2013

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for being my contender and giving me the victory over every enemy of my life, my family’s life and my extended family’s life.
I am confident that You have never lost a battle and every challenge that faces me has already been won by You my contender.
Thank You for saving not only my children but those children who are connected to my life; brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Amen

But thus says the Lord: 'Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children.'"
(Isaiah 49:25)

June 2 - 8, 2013

Lord,
Guide my every step. Lead me in Your righteousnes and make Your way straight before my face As I draw close and walk in intimate relationship with You each day, I pray Your Holy Spirit will direct my footsteps and lead me in a plain path. Not my will, but Yours, be done in my life Lord. I take pleasure in doing Your will, oh my God because You are more important to me than anything or anyone else. For it’s in You Lord that I move and have my being.

“Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
(Matthew 7:21)

May 26 - June 1, 2013

O Father, what a wonderful reminder and blessing to know that all that we do for the poor is a constant memorial before You. As we celebrate Memorial Day, may we be thankful and appreciative of all those who have given so much, even their very lives for this great country and in service of others. I ask Father for Your Almighty protection for all of our service people and indeed for all of us.
Lord, I am comforted by Your word which tells us that a sparrow does not fall from the sky without Your notice and that we are in Your perfect care. Father, I pray for safety for all the many celebrations across America and that You may be glorified through them. This I pray in Jesus’ precious name.

Amen

Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered,
“Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God."
(Acts 10:4)

May 19 - 25, 2013

Lord, You alone are not only the source of everything we need...You are the source of everything. Oh Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us everything that we need each day. At the same time we ask you to meet the needs of those who are lacking materially and spiritually. Lord, for those who have what we need and are still wanting, desiring, coveting or even lusting after things that only fill us for a short time; Lord have mercy, forgive us, redirect our thoughts and our desires toward You. You and You Alone can truly satisfy our hunger and our thirst.
In Jesus' Name, Amen

"No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever be thirsty again."
(John 6:35-36 )

May 12 - 18, 2013

Heavenly Father, Most loving God, grant us the "elbow grace” to do the hard work of kneading Your kingdom into the societies of humankind that we serve. May we have strength and forbearance, the hope and hunger to humbly serve You in Jesus’ Holy Name. Amen.

"Again He asked, ‘What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough’.”
(Luke 13:20-21)
