April 28 - May 4, 2013

Lord Jesus, thank you for willingly choosing to suffer the physical pain of the cross, and the emotional and spiritual pain of having Your loving Father turn away from You as You took our sin onto yourself and paid for our salvation. Lord You did all this out of obedience to your Father and for our benefit, to His Glory. Lord I rejoice in your resurrection knowing that as You were raised, one day I too will be raised to spend and enjoy life with You eternally. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

April 21 - 27, 2013

O God, you alone judge rightly; you alone know our hearts. Make us swift to do your will and slow to judge our neighbor, that, with all who walk the way of repentance and faith, we may, with all the blessed, enter your heavenly realm. We make our prayer through Jesus the Christ living and reigning with You and the Holy Spirit, age to age and forever.

April 14 - 20, 2013

Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary for You today. I invite You into my life, into my heart and into the depths of my soul. Fill me with Your presence and Your power. My soul thirsts for You and I hunger for your righteousness. With expectancy, Father God, I humbly offer this prayer to You in the great name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In faith and love we ask You, O God, to watch over us gathered here on this new day. Grant that as we take up our work and service, no thought of ours be left unguarded.

March 31 - April 6 , 2013

The song writer wrote… I serve a living savior Christ Jesus is His name… What a reason to rejoice. I thank You Lord for rising from the dead to show that You have the ultimate power over death and sin. And to the glory of God, one day sin and death will also be defeated in my life. By Your resurrection You immediately gave hope to every single person in the world. And all this because of Your love for us and Your desire to reconcile us to Your loving Father. Lord, Thank You, thank You, thank You, in Jesus’ name I pray.

March 24 - March 30, 2013

Lord Jesus, how do I even begin to thank You for choosing to lay Your life down for me? I don’t know that I can ever truly understand or appreciate the type of love that would motivate this type of action. Lord as I consider Your Passion this Easter season; as I consider the pain of the cross, may it help me to understand the purpose of the cross and that it would cause me to draw closer to You and to love people more. Lord, thank You for loving me enough to die such a horrible death for and because of me. This I pray in Your precious name.

March 17- March 23, 2013

Heavenly Father, In this season of Jesus’ greatest act of love help us to follow His example of humility and service. If we cannot wash the feet of others we can be of service to them in other ways. We can donate to a food pantry, give needed clothing, help an elderly neighbor, or extend a hand of comfort to someone in distress. Jesus is our role model. Father, guide us into places where we can be a humble servant to others. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus.
