Lord, , I thank You for being a God of love and mercy! In You there is no desire for revenge, hatred or pleasure in seeing me punished. I know You want to forgive, heal, restore and show me Your endless mercy. Help me Lord to choose to do the same for my loved ones, neighbors and coworkers so that I can truly experience the freedom that comes from extending and receiving love and mercy. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
"Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to Your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin."
Psalm 51:1-2 (RSV)

O God, , my Creator and Redeemer, help me this Lent to grow in awareness and appreciation of Your love for me. Open my eyes to see You in all the joys, disappointments, sorrows, pain and bitter circumstances of my life. Help me recognize Your unending love and abiding presence as I daily meditate on Your passion. I adore You as I give you thanks and praise in Jesus name. Amen.
"Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; rend your hearts and not your clothing. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and relents from punishing."

Precious Jesus, , it is in You that we find the oil of joy, it is to You we give our spirit of heaviness, it is You we praise, it is You we want to glorify. We give you our hearts, the very depths of our soul, the valleys and the dry deserts and we ask You to give us beauty for ashes that Your name may be exalted in all the earth. Amen.
"To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
Isaiah 61:3 (NKJ)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for leading me always. Every good thing is accomplished as I follow You and go where You send me. Every area of my life is secured by Your Will and sovereign promises. There isn’t anything that I cannot do because I trust that You have already gone before me in every situation and circumstance. I trust in You in all things, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Merciful Father, grant that as we make this journey of life, we will lean heavily upon your promises and reach out, not only in charity but also in justice, to those who are poor and weak. Help us to live out the commandment Your Son gave to us that we should love one another as He loves us. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
"Happy the man who cares for the poor and the weak: if disaster strikes, Yahweh will come to his help. Yahweh will guard him, give him life and happiness in the land."

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace, Your mercy, and Your love. We ask for Your continued grace as we pray for the families of all those who have gone on before us, those who served in our military, and those friends and loved ones who have departed. We pray that the Holy Spirit will fill us and dwell in and with us as we seek to gain strength and encouragement from Your word. Bless us today Lord God with joy and peace; peace not as the world gives, but Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. In Jesus’ holy name we pray, Amen.

Lord, I thank You for loving me –- always nurturing and providing for my physical and spiritual needs. You constantly tell me "do not be afraid." Please help me to trust You so that I can respond to your call to ... "put out into the deep water ..." My only desire is to seek You and to do Your will. Grant this I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
