Heavenly Father, how incredible it is that You, our God, would call us Your children? Father, sometimes we struggle to understand what this all means, especially those of us who have been wounded by our earthly father. May we always view Your incredible love and compassion for us in light of what You did for us by sending Your only Son to die for us. Father, Your adoption of us speaks to Your love and desire for us to spend an eternity with You -- the greatest Father of all; and You even say that we can call You “Daddy”. Lord, help our earthly fathers to be more like You and help us to give them the honor that’s due them. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
