March 24 - March 30, 2013

Lord Jesus, how do I even begin to thank You for choosing to lay Your life down for me? I don’t know that I can ever truly understand or appreciate the type of love that would motivate this type of action. Lord as I consider Your Passion this Easter season; as I consider the pain of the cross, may it help me to understand the purpose of the cross and that it would cause me to draw closer to You and to love people more. Lord, thank You for loving me enough to die such a horrible death for and because of me. This I pray in Your precious name.

March 17- March 23, 2013

Heavenly Father, In this season of Jesus’ greatest act of love help us to follow His example of humility and service. If we cannot wash the feet of others we can be of service to them in other ways. We can donate to a food pantry, give needed clothing, help an elderly neighbor, or extend a hand of comfort to someone in distress. Jesus is our role model. Father, guide us into places where we can be a humble servant to others. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus.

It is good, our loving Father, for us to be here! We praise and worship you for giving us the light of another day in which to imitate Your Son, Jesus, who gives Himself through us, to all in need. Fill us with the light of Your glory now and in the days ahead because through You we can do all things.

Feb. 24 - March 2, 2013

Father God, I thank You for renewing a right spirit within me. Thank You Lord for renewing the plans You have for this year for me. I know that You will keep Your promises and bring me into a closer relationship with Your Son Jesus. I thank you that You will preserve me in difficult situations and cause me to endure as I wait on my miracle. My heart is clean and my faith is in You in every promise, everyday. Amen.

Week of Feb. 17- 23, 2013

Heavenly Father, we come asking the blessing of wisdom for our elected officials across the nation. Thank You for giving each an extra measure of enlightenment to govern. May they be strengthened by Your teachings in the Holy Scriptures to better fulfill their duties. May these teachings enlighten their decisions. May they put aside personal ambitions and speak truth in all situations. May God direct their thoughts and behaviors as they strive to govern for the betterment of all the people. We pray for our elected leaders to be your dutiful servants, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week of Feb. 10 - 16, 2013

Merciful Father, protect us in our struggles; grant us your divine mercy as we make our journey through another Lenten season. Make this for us a holy season marked by our self denial and our outpouring of love for each other, especially to those who are poor and deprived. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
