Nov. 3 - 9, 2013

Remember, God is perpetually with you, taking care of you. That is the most important fact of your existence. He is not limited by time or space; His presence with you is a forever-promise. You need not fear the future, for He is already there. When you make that quantum leap into eternity, you will find Him awaiting you in heaven. Your future is in His hands; He releases it to you day by day, moment by moment. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow. Thank You Lord for the constant assurance of Your love, care and concern for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today."
Matthew 6:34 (NRSV)

Oct. 27 - Nov. 2, 2013

Abba Father, I bow before You this day and declare that You are Lord over every area of my life. I surrender myself and my life to You and invite You to rule in every part of my mind, body, and spirit. I love You Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind. I commit to trusting You with my whole being. Enable me to deny myself in order to take up my cross daily and follow You. I want to be Your disciple just as You have said in Your Word. I want to lose my life in You so I can save it. Lord, be my strong tower where I can continue to hide in You. In Jesus’ holy and righteous name,Amen.

"If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. "

Oct. 13 - 19, 2013

Lord, I believe You are using circumstances and events to move me into a place of patient waiting. Help my soul to mature, my faith to grow, my life to be more pure and dedicated to You. Lord, I praise You in the midst of it all…my special trials and daily challenges…knowing that I must learn to be patient and content as I wait upon You. Thank You for being with me through every trial, every day. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."

Lord, help me to focus totally on You. It is only in You that my heart will find rest. It is Your peace and love my Lord, that displaces fears and worries. Thank You Lord that mountains and hills may depart and be removed but Your love and peace will never ever leave me. Jesus let Your love and light radiate in me and through me dispelling all fear and darkness. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

"For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord who has compassion on you."

Lord, I am so thankful for Your great unchanging love for me. Because of Your love, You have forgiven all my sins, and welcomed me into Your family with open arms. Thank You for loving me, even when I am unlovable; and being faithful to me even when I am unfaithful. Help me to share Your love with others so that they may see what an awesome God You are! In Jesus’ Name I pray this.
Amen.

"But I trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me."

Sept. 22 - 28, 2013

Heavenly Father, You are my Maker, and in Christ Jesus You have remade me in Your image by Your grace. Forgive me for the times I have oppressed the poor or remained silent when I witnessed such oppression. Give me grace to act in generosity with the resources You have extended to me to manage. May my compassion give honor to Your holy name. Through Jesus Christ my Lord, Amen.

"Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him."
