Week of January 31

Father, I thank and praise You for Your promises. For without You I have no good thing. I thank You for Your Word that says You will sustain me. I will testify to Your marvelous grace and wonderful mercies. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Week of January 24

Lord, You came as our Savior that we may have life, life to the fullest. I am ready for what might unfold in this new year. You have blessed me with an abundance of grace and blessings. Let today and each day of 2011 be my time to give back. Let me extend my hand to someone who is lonely. Let me open my ears to someone who needs a listening heart. Let me open my eyes to see the needs of others. Let me use the talents and gifts that You have given me to make this world a better place. May I be a source of encouragement and new life to others. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Week of January 17

Almighty God, with You there is no beginning and no end. You are the origin and goal of all creation. May this new year which we dedicate to You, bring us abundant prosperity and growth in holy living. We ask this through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Week of January 10

Almighty God, as we begin another year of life here on earth, help us to press toward that goal You have set for us and not ponder on the past. Remind us, Father, that the past is gone, but we have the future to hold on to – a future of hope in You, a future of Your unfailing, never-changing love. Help us, Lord, to attain the goal, to accomplish the plan, and to fulfill the purpose for which the very grace of God has chosen for us to do. Jesus, Savior of all, be glorified in everything we do and say.

Amen.

Week of January 3

Another year has come and gone, O Lord, yet Your love for us remains steadfast. I rest assured that You will be faithful as the days and months of the new year unfold. You have entrusted us with the work of letting Your divine light be seen and the peace of God established through us. Help us be resolute in working to become more peace-filled and loving persons in 2011. Give us the grace to find balance in our lives and to become more centered on You. May we dedicate each new day to praising and thanking You, O God. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

Week of December 27

Father, we have just been reminded of the most miraculous event in history, the birth of Your Son, "Emmanuel, God with us". But Father even more incredible than the miracle of His coming is the reason for His coming. He said "I have come that You might have life and have it more abundantly". Lord help me to truly understand that Christmas represents the beginning of Your direct involvement in my life, to heal my wounds, to comfort me, to bring me peace, to fill me with Your joy, and to save my soul. And all of this because You love me. You are indeed, my constant Balm of Gilead in all my troubles. I thank You for Your love, and for the reminder each year as we celebrate Your coming as our Lord and Savior, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Week of December 20

Thank You, Father God, that even before sin came into the world, You already had the perfect redemption plan established through Your Son, Jesus Christ. He came into this world, the spotless Lamb of God, to be born as a baby and to die to redeem us. The Son of God became the Son of man so that we might have eternal life in the kingdom of God. We praise You, Lord. We know that without You there would be no hope for a blessed eternal life. Thank You for sending Your Son, as our Savior. Thank You for Your salvation plan. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
